March 2026 Activity Report

8 March (Sunday) – Coburg Trash & Treasure Market

We arrived shortly after 6:00 am and found many stallholders already lined up in their cars. The market was already very busy while we were setting up our stall.
The ANE Fundraising Team and Golden Wattle Group ran the stall together. We were pleased to find that community groups could participate in this market free of charge.

8 March (Sunday) – MelJoy

A group of 10 people, led by ANE President M, met at Flinders Street Station and travelled together to a tram stop, where we met another participant. K then joined us at Melbourne Central after picking up sushi rolls for our picnic.
We met two more participants at a bus stop before travelling to our destination together.

After exploring the Coburg Trash and Treasure Market, we had originally planned to visit a nearby park. However, everyone was getting hungry, so we decided to have our picnic on a nearby grassy area instead. We spread out our picnic mats and enjoyed our packed lunches together.
After lunch, we said goodbye and finished the day.

15 March (Sunday) – Makers Market at Pentridge

It was a beautiful day in a lovely location. As this was a Makers Market, many visitors were interested in handmade crafts. We were also pleased that many people took the time to read our ANE fundraising sign and learn more about what we do.

Once again, we ran the stall together with the Golden Wattle Group. It was a great opportunity to introduce ANE to more people in the local community. During quieter moments, we kept busy making our popular cat clips!

17 March (Tuesday) – Fundraising Team Gathering

Today, we all worked on making cat clips. We were also happy to welcome someone who joined us for the first time. While keeping our hands busy, we introduced ourselves and enjoyed a lovely time together.

Although these crafts are made to raise funds for ANE, we are grateful that so many people have taken an interest and are willing to help. We truly appreciate everyone who contributes their time and creativity to our fundraising activities.

21 March (Saturday) – Natsumero Kissa

24 people joined us for Natsumero Kissa, making it a lively and enjoyable gathering. After singing, we went to our favourite restaurant, Wong’s Lucky Bar, for lunch.
